About

Light's Legacy is planned as a free digital zine framed as a collection of in universe media - art, documents, and other items - that relate to the First Shard. It will be framed as a cultural history of the area, sent to the Source by the First's residents. Pieces can be from any point in Norvandt's timeline, including the period before the Flood of Light, during the 100 years of Light, or after the events of "Shadowbringers".Much as we did with Garlemald in Broken Chains, this zine will aim to tell stories that peek into the daily lives of those in Norvrandt at ground level and above, rather than focusing on specific ships or characters. Pieces depicting canon characters, OCs, or both are all welcome. Please be aware we will not be featuring specifically named WoLs besides Ardbert's party.Like with Broken Chains we also want to encourage people to bring a wide range of artistic media to this zine, even if it's not something zines are usually looking for. Below are some examples of possible in-universe media, though we look forward to hearing your ideas as well!○ Sketches or paintings done by Norvrandt citizens
○ Music or other audio media
○ Snippets of in-universe media such as novels, children's books, or plays
○ Documentation of historical events
○ Advertisements by businesses or propaganda by governments
○ Traditional recipes from various regions in the First
○ Fiber arts (knitting, crochet, embroidery, etc.)
○ Sculptures and carvings
DISCLAIMER: Real life bigotry and harassment will not be tolerated in this zine or by its contributors. We will not be judging applicants based on any prior created works, aside from those that are explicitly bigoted or harmful to real world groups.
